Who are we and what do we do?
We’re ambassadors, advisors, and, most of all, we’re here to help you get oriented to all the services Berkeley Career Engagement has to offer! We are full-time undergraduate students trained by Career Educators on many aspects of the internship/job search and graduate/professional school application process. We offer one-of-a-kind advice because, as student leaders, we utilize the very services that we promote.

For Fall 2026:
Peer Advisor Drop-Ins start on September 14, 2026 and end on December 4, 2026.
- 15 minutes for guidance on resumes, cover letters, interviewing, and much more.

In-person hours (Berkeley Career Engagement, 3rd Floor Lobby) are from Monday-Thursday from 12pm – 2pm PST.
- You will tap your CalID at the front door and make your way to the 3rd floor. There you will check in at one of the front computers and wait for a peer advisor to be available to meet with you.

Virtual hours (via the Check-In Live Reception below) are on Fridays from 12pm – 2pm PST.
(Peer advisor drop-ins serve as the first point of contact and are best suited for quick questions. Career counseling appointments (30 minutes) are intended for in-depth conversations and can be scheduled through Handshake.)
Peer Advisor Scheduled Appointments start on September 14, 2026 and end on December 4, 2026

For the first time ever, Peer Advisors will be offering virtual scheduled appointments along with drop-ins for Fall 2026.
- 20 minutes for guidance on resumes, cover letters, interviewing, and much more.
- Virtual appointments will be on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursdays from 4pm – 6pm PST in 20 minute slots.
- Appointments will be available to book 2 weeks in advance (The first appointment for September 14 will be available starting August 28)
- The peer advisor will email you 2 hours prior to your appointment time with the zoom link.

Workshop Requests
Berkeley Career Engagement Peer Advisors can also be booked to present an array of workshops tailored to your student audience at times arranged for your convenience. We can present on a wide variety of career-related topics such as:
- Berkeley Career Engagement services overview
- Resume and/or cover letter writing
- Job search strategies
- How to use and maximize Handshake
- Professional networking
