Assistant Director, Employer Relations & Alumni Engagement

Education
M.S., Counseling
B.A., American Studies

How did you get here?
During my time as a student at Cal I worked as a Student Supervisor in Res Life, assisting with move in/move out, and overseeing the facilities and academic center. I was also working for TRIO doing College Advising for the Oakland School District where I discovered my passion for educational equity and access. After graduating with my BA in American Studies, I transitioned to UCSC where I worked as a Project Specialist for 5 years, leading new initiatives to advance our Mission and Vision. I’ve spent a few years specifically partnering with employers on programming initiatives, teaming up with campus diversity departments to implement programs and successfully leading an inaugural networking event that connected alumni and students of color to discuss topics surrounding identity in the workplace. I received my Masters degree in Counseling and Guidance from San Jose State in 2022. I am excited to return back to my alma mater and support the Cal community!

Who do you work with? What’s cool about your job?
I am part of the Employer Relations team that bridges together students, alumni (current and future) and employers to facilitate impactful connections!

What’s the best career advice anyone has given you?
Sometimes the greatest growth is on the other side of fear.
